Goals and Objectives for the SPIO Compression course:

 

1. Participant will gain knowledge of orthotics paradigm shift and general scientific basis for the clinical use of ultra-flexible Dynamic Orthotic systems, including SPIO Compression, with a neurologically impaired population.

 

2. Participant will gain general basic information about research applications related to, Base of Support and Balance, Dynamic Cylinder Connections (shoulder-trunk-hip complex), Soft tissue and Muscle Health, Biomechanical and Neuro-postural Connections, Central Pattern Generator for Locomotion, and other related clinic science.

 

3. Participant will be able to view numerous comparison pictures of the use of SPIO Compression with children and adults of various diagnoses and severity with the goal of being able to identify which diagnoses will respond positively to the use of flexible compression systems.
